What’s the upgrade? The upgrade is the addition of a prusik tender. A prusik tender is an attachment that allows for the tag end of a tether, ultimate stick attachment, and much more to be pulled and for the prusik to be adjusted with only 1 hand. It’s like the Amsteel version of a mechanical ascender device.
If you still are slightly confused this allows you to no longer must adjust the prusik with your hand or often both your hands. The prusik tender will allow you to keep one hand on the stand, platform, or climbing stick that you are attaching and easily synch it tight to the tree using only one hand! This works just like a regular USA but with this one, all you must do is place the orange prusik tender around the same versa button as the prusik itself and that’s it. You now have a one hand adjustable USA which if you never have used one before is a huge step up!
